This is the ceremonial archway entrance to the Royal Saudi Air Force’s Technical Studies Institute, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The TSI is the RSAF’s educational college for training its groundcrew.

Hornchurch
This sculpture, called ‘The Dogfight’ was designed to go in an Essex country park which was once the home of an RAF airfield that served in both WWI and WWII. Spitfires operated out of it in The Battle of Britain and the design reflects their aerial combats.

The Harriet Quimby Memorial
This memorial is to the pioneering American female aviator, Harriet Quimby, who in 1912 was the first female aviator to cross the English Channel. Unfortunately she completed the historic flight on the morning that news broke about the Titanic, and so her record-breaking achievement was pushed to the back page. Even her centenary was again over-shadowed by the centenary of the loss of the Titanic. The poor girl just can’t win!
The memorial will depict a triumphant Quimby - a tribute and inspiration to women. It will be sited in Dover, either on the cliff tops, near to where Quimby took off, or in Dover town itself.

158 Crashed Bomber Memorial
This is a small version of the 158 Squadron Memorial, sited in the Dutch countryside near to where two RAF bombers crashed on consecutive nights. It was unveiled in 2013 with dignitaries from Britain, Canada and the Netherlands in attendance.

'Bikini Babe'
These garden sculptures are made in ceramic and are using a sort of visual pun to give the work an added layer of interest. One of the figures has a crack running through the body section but not through the bikini. Ceramic cracks but bodies don't, so is the crack in the body or the ceramic?
